SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jan. 9, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Nike Baseball Camps will be returning and will be joined for the first time at SAGU by Nike Softball Camps.
Directing the first year Nike Softball Camp will be SAGU Head Coach Steven Watson. The SAGU softball team finished with the programs first 30-win season in 2019 and ended #8 in the NCCAA rankings. They advanced to the NCCAA World Series after winning the Central Regional tournament.
Coach Watson will be joined this summer by his staff of top-notch coaches and team. The camp will be geared towards girls ages 8-18 of all-skill levels. Over the course of the camp, players will cover fielding, hitting, base-running, team-play, and fundamental skills.
The longstanding Nike Baseball Camp at SAGU will be led again by Head Coach Matt Cornacchione and his staff. In 2019, the Lions made a post-season run and were defeated in the conference championship game.
Coach Cornacchione and his staff will have two weeks of camp in 2020. The first week is for camper ages 6-8 and will be a half-day camp running from June 22-26. The second week will have extended day and overnight options for ages 9-18 and will run from July 20-24. A camper parent from last summer, Carmen I., summed up her son's camp experience saying, "He loved the individual attention coaches gave and the advice for improvement. He's already asking to go back next year."
