Nike Volleyball Camps Announces 2 Volleyball Tours in Europe for Summer 2019
Nike Volleyball Camps, part of US Sports Camps, has teamed up with Legacy Sports Group to offer volleyball players 2 Nike Volleyball Camp Europe Tours this upcoming summer.
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The first tour will travel to Italy and Germany and the second tour will travel to Spain.
Last year, players and their families were offered a once in a lifetime volleyball vacation experience to Italy, Germany, and Austria. Two teams participated in training sessions with college level coaches and competed against local European volleyball teams. Players and families also engaged in sightseeing activities and experienced the local culture through food and tours.

After the positive experience from the 2018 tour, Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps, felt that offering two tours this summer would allow for more volleyball training, cultural exchange, and fun for players and their families.
"We had so many parents and players return from the tour telling us how memorable their trip was," says Siera Love. "Having two different tours this year means more players could have the European volleyball experience."
The first tour is set to run June 30-July 9 and will take place throughout Italy & Germany. Two teams, split up by ages 12-14 and 15-17, will be coached by Kim Roleder, Associate Head Volleyball Coach of Sacred Heart University. Players will experience the towns of Padova & Bolanzo Italy, before traveling to Germany to visit the city of Munich. An exciting part of the trip will be a guided tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, which inspired the Disney Castle.
The second tour is set to run July 10-19 and will take place throughout Spain. Two teams split up by ages 12-14 and 15-17 will experience instruction from Scott Grandpre, Head Volleyball Coach at Simmons College & 2018 Nike Volleyball European Tour Director. Players and their families will stay in Barcelona and Valencia, while also experiencing guided city tours through these cities and the surrounding sites.
These European volleyball tours for the whole family will combine volleyball and unique cultural experiences. All accommodations will be 4-star hotels and all transportation, for scheduled events, will be included.
