SAN RAFAEL, Calif., April 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Olympic Gold Medalist Deedee Trotter, joins Hazel Clark at the Darlington School, June 16-19, to inspire young track & field athletes and help them improve in their specific events.
Clark and Trotter have designed a comprehensive program which focuses on track & field and cross country fundamentals. The curriculum includes drills, pacing, strength endurance, speed and core strengthening, and classroom sessions covering the mental edge necessary for top athletic performances.
"Hazel and I became best friends when we met when we were both training in Knoxville Tennessee. We have made multiple national and Olympic teams together and traveled the world while competing. Both of us have served as ambassadors of our sport and implemented numerous community programs," states Trotter. "This project makes sense because we love working together and are really passionate about developing the next generation of track stars."
Campers ages 10-18, have the option to attend the day or overnight session. Events offered include sprints, hurdles, middle distance, cross country, throw (discus, shot put, javelin, hammer), and jumps (long, triple, high).
