Nike Soccer Camps Comes Back To SI For Summer Of 2020

San Francisco is a world class city that deserves a high-level youth soccer experience and St Ignatius is a terrific platform to work with youth organizations in providing excellent training.

With their outstanding resumes and soccer knowledge, campers are in for a once in a lifetime experience. Boys and Girls from 6-14 years old have four opportunities to participate in Nike Soccer Camp at St. Ignatius College Preparatory: June 8-12, June 15-19, June 22-26, and July 13-17.

Tom Atencio is the Women’s Head Varsity Coach at St. Ignatius and plays a huge role in San Francisco Elite Academy Soccer Club, one of the bay area’s more prestigious soccer programs. Atencio loves the bay area and said, “San Francisco is a world class city that deserves a high-level youth soccer experience and St Ignatius is a terrific platform to work with youth organizations in providing excellent training. St Ignatius staff and players will be on site for all camps. Enjoy the game!” In his playing days Atencio was a four-year starter and captain at Cal State Fullerton. He went from star player to superstar coach with countless trophies including two national titles. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication Coach Atencio puts into the beautiful game.

Joining Coach Atencio is Eddie Soto, Head Men’s Coach at Cal State Dominguez Hills. "I'm excited to be joining Nike Soccer Camps at St. Ignatius. To be able to continue to provide a service to our San Francisco soccer families brings much joy and pleasure. Please join me this summer and let's have some fun." A fellow Cal State Fullerton alum, Eddie holds the record for most goals in a season standing at eighteen. This led him to a professional career in the MLS and other American leagues. Eddie has used his soccer experience to propel him to success in over twenty years of collegiate coaching. He has been apart of some of the best soccer programs in the country. Eddie was a part of the coaching staff that led the UCLA Bruins to a number one ranking in the nation. After four successful seasons at the helm of University of San Francisco Coach Soto found a new challenge at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Along with top coaches comes a school known for its prestigious facilities and culture.
