Nike Tennis Camps Announces New Location at the University of Arkansas for Summer 2020

University of Arkansas, home of the Razorbacks, is now the home of the newest Nike Tennis Camp.

University of Arkansas will be host to the newest Nike Tennis Camp this summer.

This camp is the perfect opportunity for players from across the country to receive instruction from Division I coaches and expose themselves to the campus culture.

Presented by the University’s Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coaches, the Nike Tennis Camp at the University of Arkansas is running one week of day or overnight camp for girls and boys looking to take their tennis game to new heights.

“We couldn’t be more excited about hosting a camp at the University of Arkansas,” says Matt Kurlander, Vice President of Nike Tennis Camps. “This camp is the perfect opportunity for players from across the country to receive instruction from Division I coaches and expose themselves to the campus culture.”

Andy Jackson, Three-Time SEC Coach of the Year and Head Men’s Tennis Coach at the University of Arkansas, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Nike Tennis Camp. Jackson joined the Razorbacks in 2013 and has boasted an impressive track record during his time at the helm. In 2016, Coach Jackson led the team to its first 20-win season since 1986, defeating top-ranked teams such as LSU and No. 7 Texas A&M.

Courtney Steinbock, Head Women’s Tennis Coach, has an equally impressive background coaching at Oklahoma State, University of Houston and now the University of Arkansas. In her final year at U of H, Steinbock guided the team to a 20-4 overall record, just the program’s seventh 20-win season in over 40 years.

Additionally, Darin Phelan joins the arsenal of coaches directing the Nike Tennis Camp. An alumnus at the University of Arkansas, Phelan has been the Head Tennis Coach at Fayetteville High School for 11 years, leading them to 9 singles/doubles state champions and 2 team state championship titles.

The Nike Tennis Camp at the University of Arkansas is an Overnight or Day camp program designed for girls and boys of all ability levels, ages 8-18, who are looking to take their tennis skills to the next level and have a lot of fun doing it. The camp includes all lodging (on campus at the University of Arkansas), meals, tennis instruction on collegiate-level facilities and evening activities.
