OCALA, Fla., Jan. 4, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN) is pleased to present our 2021 Distinguished Neutral of the Year Award to Nina Meierding, in recognition of Excellence in the field of Conflict Resolution & ADR Training.
Based just outside of Seattle, Nina is a renowned national leader in the field of conflict resolution, having mediated over 4,000 disputes and trained thousands of professionals in almost all 50 states, as well as Canada, England, India, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, and Sweden. Nina served as the Director and Senior Mediator at the Mediation Center in Ventura, California from 1985-2007 and is now a full-time trainer professor, and conflict resolution consultant.
Nina has taught at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law for over 27 years and also taught at Southern Methodist University for almost 20 years. She has been an instructor at the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada, and the California Judicial College and is a guest lecturer at universities throughout the United States.
Active within the ADR community, Nina is a former president of the Academy of Family Mediators and served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Conflict Resolution, the California Dispute Resolution Institute, and the Southern California Mediation Association, as well as on the Council for Distinguished Advisors at Pepperdine University and the Advisory Board at Southern Methodist University and many other organizations. Nina was previously awarded the Peacemaker Award in 1992 by the Southern California Mediation Association for her outstanding work in the conflict resolution field, the Association of Conflict Resolution's "John Haynes Distinguished Mediator Award", and in 2005, she was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award by the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.
