Mossanen opened Snapchat to capture a hilarious moment with two friends, but after recording his video, he accidentally put his phone in his pocket without sending the video to anyone. The next morning, he opened Snapchat and was surprised to find the video on his screen. The video was so much funnier because he had forgotten that he had even taken it. His vision progressed as a way to inject excitement and anticipation into how people communicate. Waiting to see the video or photo shared causes the recipient to look forward to the time when they can view what was intended for them.
