Retailer Shares Top Trending Gifts: Home Décor, Apparel/Accessories, Squishmallows and More
NEWTOWN, Pa., Nov. 21, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The holiday shopping season has officially arrived at Norman's Hallmark, an employee-owned company and the nation's largest independent owner of Gold Crown Hallmark stores. On the heels of Hallmark's annual Keepsake Ornament Debut this fall – which premiered 150 new artist-crafted ornaments – the card and specialty gift retailer has curated a selection of unique and thoughtful gift ideas for every age, taste and budget.
"The entire Keepsake Ornament line this year includes more than 350 ornaments and offers something for everyone," said Howard Henschel, president and CEO of Norman's Hallmark. "Every year, our customers look forward to commemorating family, life milestones and special memories with this product line – and it's a great kick-off to the holiday season."
Licensed and pop culture ornaments – from Peanuts and The Grinch, to '90s favorites like Friends and The Golden Girls, to Star Wars, Star Trek and Harry Potter – are among the most popular with Norman's shoppers, and this year's offerings do not disappoint, Henschel added. Exclusive for 2022, the Griswold family comes to life with the newest ornaments in Hallmark's Storyteller's Collection, featuring characters from "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." This interactive, three-ornament collection is only available this year, putting it at the top of every collector's list.
A One-Stop Shop for Gift-Givers
With the holiday shopping season already underway, Norman's Hallmark has compiled a list of its top gift items – so far – ranging from practical and fun to quirky and comfortable:
Home Décor. Lighted lanterns in all shapes, sizes and motifs, along with super-soft throw blankets will appeal to any recipient. Candles are a classic best-seller at Norman's Hallmark, with the Yankee Candle collection and Hallmark's popular three-wick soy candles leading the way. Hallmark's "Buy One, Get One Free" soy candle deal runs throughout the entire holiday season, making it even easier for price-conscious shoppers to gift these items.
Fashion Forward. Plaids – whether in classic ponchos, Vera Bradley products or SCOUT bags – are a seasonal staple and a strong performer in the apparel and accessories category. Shackets, the slightly oversized shirt-jacket hybrid, are among the biggest fashion trends today and make terrific gifts.
The Plush Life. Soft and cuddly, collectible Squishmallows continue to be among Norman's best-selling items. Excitement is building around Squishmallows' new Inflat-a-Pals floor pillows and snow tubes. "We anticipate these new products selling quickly, and encourage customers to shop early so they don't miss out," added Henschel.
Nostalgic Fun. The Pet Rock first hit the market in 1975 and earned a place in pop culture history. Today, the Original Pet Rock is making a comeback and is available at Norman's Hallmark just in time for the holiday season. "The Pet Rock was a cultural phenomenon when it was introduced nearly 50 years ago, and we fondly remember selling it in Norman's Hallmark stores," said Henschel. "We are confident the Pet Rock will evoke a sense of nostalgia for those that grew up with the original, while appealing to a new generation of shoppers."
A Magical Celebration. Celebrate the golden anniversary of Walt Disney World with Disney's 50th Anniversary gift collection. Available only at Hallmark Gold Crown stores, these gift items – from mugs and picture frames to blankets and more -- will appeal to any Disney fan on your list.
