North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival To Illuminate Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre During Holidays
CARY, N.C. (PRWEB) September 24, 2018 -- In what has become a North Carolina holiday tradition, Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre will once again be transformed into a magnificent setting when the N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival returns this holiday season with an all-new display for its fourth year in the Triangle. Tickets are now on sale for the seven-week festival, which runs November 23, 2018 through January 13, 2019.
Chinese artisans are currently hard at work crafting more than 20 all-new displays, each comprised of hundreds of parts and thousands of LED lights. The spectacular 200-foot Chinese Dragon will once again reign supreme on Cary’s Symphony Lake to mesmerize visitors of all ages. These larger-than-life lanterns promise to wow visitors to this popular holiday festival. Cultural arts performances that include Chinese drums, acrobats, contortion and martial arts will again be featured each night on the Booth Amphitheatre main stage.
"It’s almost impossible to think about winter months at Booth Amphitheatre without the beauty of the N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival. Every year surpasses the previous one as far as size, detail and majesty of the displays. We feel so fortunate to continue this tradition and bring delight and wonder to thousands of visitors,” said Doug McRainey, Town of Cary’s Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources.
The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival is produced by Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc., in cooperation with the Town of Cary. Date-specific tickets start at $10 and can be purchased through etix.com or Booth Amphitheatre Box Office.
This year, the festival will offer a special ticket that can be used any night. Perfect for gift-giving and added flexibility, any night tickets are priced at $20.
Lanterns are hand-crafted by more than 25 visiting Chinese artisans who make Cary home during the holidays. The festival showcases the beauty and artistry of Chinese culture in an authentic multi-cultural experience that has quickly become a popular holiday tradition for North Carolina families.
Running from November 23, 2018 through January 13, 2019, the N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival is open Tuesdays through Sundays, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The festival is closed Mondays, with the exception of December 24 and 31. Tickets can be purchased at Booth Amphitheatre, through etix.com, or by phone: (800) 514-3849. Festival admission includes Chinese cultural performances.
