New York Wine Events Presents 3rd Annual North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival at Jamesport Vineyards, Saturday, June 24, 2017
NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) May 24, 2017 -- New York Wine Events will host its 3rd Annual North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival presented by Citi at Jamesport Vineyards in Jamesport, New York on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Wine and food loving guests can choose from two sessions, Afternoon: 12-3pm or Evening: 4-7pm.
The festival will feature over 20 wineries from Long Island and beyond with 100+ wines to taste, light bites including cheeses, charcuterie, crudités, breads, and crackers, plus numerous sampling tables from an array of artisanal food and beverage companies. Guests will keep their complimentary custom wine tasting glass as a souvenir from their day out east and meet the winemakers and key vineyard personnel as they learn all about the varietals directly from the source, and even purchase any North Fork and New York State selections they enjoy by the bottle or case.
“It’s always a joy to be out in Long Island wine country and to be able to showcase the region’s noteworthy wines and provide wine lovers -- from novices to those with a more seasoned palate -- with a very up close and personal experience featuring a stunning vineyard as the backdrop. Sipping wines with the winemakers right along side to provide tasting notes and details on how the selections were crafted, while enjoying a taste of local artisan fare truly highlights the region’s exceptional offerings,” explains Sam Kimball, Founder, New York Wine Events.
Wine tasting tables located throughout the spacious tents will include a diverse selection of quality reds, whites, roses, and sparking wines from the North Fork’s top winemakers including Brooklyn Oenology & As If Wines, Harbes Vineyards, Hound’s Tree, Jamesport Vineyards, The Lenz Winery, Lieb Cellars, Martha Clara Vineyards, Pugliese Vineyards, Palmer Vineyards, Raphael Vineyards, Saltbird Cellars, Sannino Vineyard, Sherwood House Vineyards, Suhru Wines, and T’Jara Vineyards, plus Don Tony Perez Wines (Chile), KAS Spirits (Putnam County, NY), Laureate Wine Imports (Slovenian wines), Ma Lung Winery (Brooklyn, NY) Taconic Distillery (Dutchess County, NY), 13th & Third Wines (CA/NY), and Yankee Folly Cidery (Hudson Valley, NY). Many participating New York State vintners will also be selling bottles and wine by the case to those who enjoy their selections.
Select artisan food and beverage makers from the East End as well as an array of companies from points beyond will be sampling offerings including baked goods, chocolates, jams, teas, chips, and more, and will also sell full sized items to savor at home. Participants to date include Bennett’s Deli & Sandwich Co., The Cocoa Exchange, Drunken Fruit, End of the Line, Harmless Harvest, Joann’s Desserts, Salsa Di Parma, Peconic River Preserves, Sparkling Ice, Subtle Tea, Topo Chico Sparkling Water, Vines & Branches, and Yeh Chips. Lifestyle sponsors include Cutco, Renewal By Andersen, Sueanne Shirzay Jewelry, and The Wining Hour.
North Fork Crush guests will also get to sip and sway to live jazz by the Kenny Harris Trio. Harris, an acclaimed bassist from Long Island who regularly performs around the country, has played with a Who’s Who of contemporary jazz artists including Alex Bugnon, Four80 East, Matt Marshak, Will Donato, J.J. Sansaverino, Shilts, Nick Colionne, and many more.
“With two popular and successful North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festivals in recent years, we’re pleased to have New York Wine Events once again return to our vineyard for this annual event,” notes Ronald B. Goerler, Jr., President, Jamesport Vineyards, host winery for the event. “This is a wonderful opportunity for North Fork and East End wineries to promote the region and raise awareness about the high quality and diversity of our locally produced wines and artisan fare.”
The North Fork Crush is among the numerous seasonal tastings New York Wine Events presents throughout the year in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, and New Jersey. The event takes place rain or shine, under tents to shield guests from the elements. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. New York Wine Event’s popular tastings have had sold out crowds over the last decade, and the North Fork Crush event is expected to do the same.
