Northcentral University Announces New Graduate Programs and Specializations
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 09, 2016 -- Northcentral University (NCU), a global online graduate school, is launching two new specializations to meet student interest in emerging areas of focus, and a new accelerated track that takes students from associates degree to bachelor’s and master’s concurrently, saving both time and money.
The new NCU specializations launched today are in NCU’s School of Education: Master of Education (MEd) specialization in Reading Education and Doctor of Education (EdD) in Learning Analytics in Higher Education.
The MEd in Reading Education teaches students to apply educational leadership principles and theories to real world educational problems associated with reading, as well as apply theories effectively in a variety of learning contexts with cultural sensitivity. The EdD specialization in Learning Analytics in Higher Education offers students mastery of how data collection in higher education can afford an institution of higher learning a competitive advantage to improve educational outcomes for both student and faculty. This program will immerse students in the field, exposing them to the history of data analytics, instruction on the proper identification, utility, and application of relevant data in the world of education. Both new degree programs are 100 percent online with no residency requirements, and are taught in a one-to-one learning model by professors who hold doctoral degrees.
Additionally, the University launched an innovative path for those who hold associate degrees to fast-forward their education to a higher degree required in many careers. Through the new NCU FastForward Track, associate degree holders can earn their bachelor’s degree and continue to complete their master’s degree in less time and with lower tuition costs. Depending on their desired career path, FastForward Track students can save as much as 41.1 percent on tuition compared to a traditional NCU master’s degree program. Not only that, but at a point in their lives where time can be even more valuable, NCU FastForward students can also save up to 40 percent of the time in earning a master’s degree.

NCU FastForward Track students can enter the School of Business and Technology Management to gain either a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). Students can also take the NCU FastTrack option in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences’ Department of Psychology to earn either a Master of Arts in Psychology (MAPSY) or Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT).
