Northern Virginia Technology Council Announces Internationally Recognized Line Up for Capital Cybersecurity Summit

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) today announced the list of speakers for its fourth annual Capital Cybersecurity Summit taking place on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. The event will showcase the region’s diverse and thriving technology ecosystem and critical infrastructure that supports innovation and technology development in the cybersecurity and national security sector.

“The National Capital Region offers a unique set of cybersecurity assets that no other region in the world can match – with innovative solutions for both commercial and public sector customers – all of which will be highlighted at the event,” said Bobbie Kilberg, President and CEO, NVTC. “We’re thrilled to have world leading experts come together to share insights on the industry’s latest challenges and innovations.”

Opening speakers for the Capital Cybersecurity Summit include Dr. John Zangardi, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Department of Homeland Security (DHS), (invited), Mark Frantz, Co-founder of Blue Delta Capital Partners, a growth capital firm focused on the U.S. federal government technology (GovTech) marketplace, and Jack Huffard, Co-founder, President and COO at Tenable.

Panel discussions will feature globally recognized technology leaders from both the public and private sectors and will cover topics such as the challenges Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) face, how to expand into the overseas market and the innovation behind venture-backed, cutting-edge technologies.
