Northwest Vista College Presents the 2013 Cisco Weekend Institute
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- Northwest Vista College (NVC) is pleased to announce it will hold its second annual Cisco Weekend Institute beginning on Friday, September 6. This program prepares students for the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification exam.
CCNA certification is the first step towards the networking field for all those who wish to pursue a networking career. Students can complete the required coursework in less than six months. This program is designed for the working professional from any background so that they may complete the CCNA course and begin their networking career.
Through this four course series, students will learn to operate the router and switch IOS, configure DHCP, NAT, frame relay, and a host of other protocols in a simulated local area and wide area networked environment. Students will learn how to manage these local and wide area networks, using the latest WAN technologies. To accommodate scheduling issues, courses are presented in a hybrid fashion: face-to-face and online. Classes meet Friday evenings and all day Saturday.
Northwest Vista College will hold an institute orientation and information session on Friday, August 23.
