ANNANDALE, Va., April 15, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The NOVA Educational Foundation – the philanthropic arm of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) – will hold its first annual Giving Day event on Thursday, April 21. This inaugural 24-hour virtual fundraiser will raise funds in support of NOVA student achievement, which will be awarded as scholarships and grants that can help students pay for books, meals and more.
NOVA, a globally renowned institution where the student body represents the diversity of the region, continues to support all students by providing wraparound services through its educational foundation. The entire NOVA community is invited to participate in the event, including supporters, companies and local organizations, community members, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends.

Over the last month, the NOVA Foundation hosted community pop-up events on each of NOVA's six campuses to raise awareness among communities that hold NOVA dear. The events gave students, faculty, staff and returning NOVA alumni a chance to come together and celebrate NOVA's dedicated and talented students.
