Novelist Sam Polakoff Releases New Thriller ‘Shaman’ September 16
FOREST HILL, Md. (PRWEB) September 12, 2019 -- “Shaman” is a thrilling ride following one man’s quest to harness the power of his past life through reincarnation while saving the world from evil forces intent on destroying the earth with an environmental apocalypse hundreds of years in the making. Author Sam Polakoff is excited to announce the release of his second thriller, “Shaman.”
The novel explores reincarnation through the ancient practices of shamanism and Akashic readings. The practices believe that souls live many lives, which are recorded in the Akashic Records. According to shamanic belief, souls reincarnate in groups, though they do not always share the same human connections from life to life. The story takes place in modern-day Washington, D.C., Maryland, and in Peru during the Inca Empire.
“I’m a skeptical person by nature, but while researching this book I went through my own Akashic reading to explore previous lives and was told I once lived during the American Old West,” says Polakoff. “I had only told my wife about the random and repeated feelings of having lived in the Old West. I was most fascinated to learn that people reincarnate in groups and that idea helped me create plot twists that I hope will keep readers guessing until the end.”
Polakoff enjoys writing in his free time, which is limited due to his primary career as the President and CEO of Nexterus, a fourth-generation supply chain engineering and technology firm in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. He calls writing a labor of love that mainly takes place in the wee hours of the morning and on weekends. “Shaman” is Polakoff’s second thriller and follows the successful 2018 release of his debut novel, “Hiatus.”
“Shaman” is published by Komodo Dragon, LLC. It will be available in paperback and e-book formats and will be sold on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and 39,000 additional online booksellers around the world. Copies can also be purchased at http://www.sampolakoff.com
