Accounting MOVE Project Lauds Firm for Empowering Women, Fostering Inclusion

Novogradac continues to be one of the best CPA firms for women and equity leadership, according the 2022 Accounting MOVE Project report on the subject.

The San Francisco-based accounting and consulting firm was one of 16 firms recognized as the Best CPA Firms for Women and one of 21 firms recognized as the Best Firms for Equity Leadership by the Accounting Move Project. This is the sixth-straight year that Novogradac received the honor.

The 2022 Accounting MOVE Project focuses on firms that have both a high proportion of women at most or all levels of management and proven success. Women make up more than 30 percent of Novogradac’s partners and principals.

“Novogradac is proud of the paths for professional development and career growth it provides to the talented professionals who make up the Novogradac team,” said Elaine Chang, CPA and partner in Novogradac’s San Francisco, Calif., office and member of the organization’s social impact committee. “It is also rewarding when Novogradac’s dedication to collaboration and inclusion results in measurable progress and continued excellence in serving our clients.”

The MOVE Project press release praised Novogradac’s approach.

“Novogradac's partnership pipeline is more consistent than most, resulting in a steadily rising proportion of women partners, now at 35%. A quarter of the firm’s women partners are ethnic minorities – a rare accomplishment. Its next advance: blending advocacy with allyship to build on women’s advancement and create more opportunity for all,” the MOVE Project press release said.

Renee Beaver, CPA, a partner in Novogradac’s Cleveland office and a member of the firm’s personnel committee, was pleased with the distinction.

“Being recognized again by the MOVE Project is a welcome affirmation that the steps we’ve taken to set our team up for success are working,” Beaver said. “Novogradac’s commitment to providing opportunity, support and flexibility to our employees creates a platform for sustainable career growth and results in top-quality service for our clients.”
