CLEVELAND, Sept. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Speaking at this year's Materials Science & Technology (MS&T19) technical conference and exhibition is NSL's analytical operations manager, Dr. Dave van der Wiel, whose recently published article "Advanced Powder Characterization for Additive Manufacturing," appeared in Advanced Materials & Processes July/August 2019 magazine.
MS&T19 is a long-standing, recognized forum for fostering technical innovation at the intersection of materials science, engineering, and application. Each year, MS&T brings together scientists, engineers, students, suppliers, and business leaders to discuss current research and technical applications and to shape the future of materials science and technology.
Speaking about the use of surface area measurement as a particle morphological probe, Dr. van der Wiel will discuss the relationship between surface area of a powder sample and the textural properties of particles. The BET gas adsorption method is a well-established method that has been applied to metallurgic, ceramic, pharmaceutical and geological materials. You can hear Dr. van der Wiel's talk at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, September 29th.
Earlier this year at the RAPID+TCT show, NSL included BET surface area in a package of powder tests being offered as part their new Powder360 suite of tests for powder characterization. NSL's Powder360 offers a complete, all-in-one package for your powder needs including material, particle and bulk properties.
Be sure to visit NSL at their Booth #533 during the exhibition, which takes place September 29 – October 3, 2019 in Portland, Oregon at the Oregon Convention Center.
