Number of All-Time LivePlan Users Tops 200,000
Eugene, OR (PRWEB) December 16, 2013 -- Palo Alto Software’s flagship business planning and performance tracking software, LivePlan, has surpassed 200,000 all-time users.
Since its public launch in January 2012, more than 200,000 entrepreneurs from around the world have used the tool to launch new small businesses and track the progress of existing ones. LivePlan is a cloud-based tool designed specifically to help small business owners develop funding pitches, business plans, and track their financial performance.
“As an entrepreneur, my priority, and Palo Alto Software’s, is to help small businesses succeed,” said Sabrina Parsons, CEO of Palo Alto Software. “Main Street businesses are the driving force behind economic recovery and growth, and we’re happy to have played a part in helping so many entrepreneurs launch and grow their ventures.”
LivePlan offers users a simple process for developing business plans that can be used to get loans or present to potential investors. Once a business is launched, LivePlan’s Scoreboard feature can be synced with QuickBooks (and Xero integration coming in January 2014) to import key accounting data that is automatically analyzed and compared to the original forecast and budget and as well as past financial performance. The Scoreboard view offers entrepreneurs an accurate snapshot of where their business is heading so they can make better decisions more quickly.
“LivePlan was developed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs,” said Josh Cochrane, vice president of product development for Palo Alto Software. “We truly believe that engaging in planning and tracking performance is what sets successful businesses apart from the rest, and we have designed LivePlan to help entrepreneurs do this with ease.”
Additionally, LivePlan has a Pitch feature that can be used to create a one page business plan that is easily exported to a PowerPoint document for professional pitch presentations to lenders or investors.
“LivePlan is always changing to adapt to the needs of modern business owners,” Parsons said. “We are very excited to have reached such a milestone, and we look forward to helping even more small businesses better start, grow, and manage their businesses.”
Tim Berry, founder and chairman of Palo Alto Software stated, "I love the evolution from our earlier business planning software to LivePlan, which is extremely collaborative and flexible to the unique needs of every organization. It's the realization of my insistence that it's the planning that matters, not just the plan. That means regular review of metrics and ongoing management."
The service is available for $19.95 per month or $139.95 per year. For more information, please visit http://www.liveplan.com.
