SALT LAKE CITY (PRWEB) March 15, 2021
The nView s1, nView medical’s breakthrough imaging system, has now been used in 25 cases at three leading pediatric hospitals: Children’s National Hospital, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Nine surgeons across the three pilot hospitals have used nView’s insta-3D™ technology to-date; in pediatric spinal deformity, microdiscectomy, and extremity procedures.
Shannon Kelly, M.D., Associate Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Children’s National, has utilized the nView s1 for spinal implant verification in five cases.
“Imaging technology has evolved over the years and with innovative systems like this, we can look at 3D images instantaneously during a procedure, which could potentially improve patient care and outcomes,” says Dr. Kelly.
nView medical’s CEO, Cristian Atria, commented on reaching the milestone of 25 cases.
“We couldn’t have had better clinical partners for the initial use of our technology. Our pilot sites are leaders in pediatric care: they provide the highest quality care and are at the forefront of technology. The collaboration with our pilot sites has been extremely valuable to confirm the value proposition of nView’s breakthrough imaging technology. The level of equipment utilization across multiple surgeons and now across multiple applications signals the broad applicability of this technology and its ease of adoption.”
