SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nvision Biomedical Technologies, a San Antonio-based medical device and implant manufacturer, will highlight its growing product portfolio for lower extremities at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Annual Scientific Conference, February 18-22 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The Trigon® Ti Stand-Alone Osteotomy Wedge Fixation System will lead Nvision's innovative showcase. The Trigon titanium wedge system, which was cleared by the FDA in December, is the most advanced 3D-manufactured titanium stand-alone osteotomy wedge system for both Evans and Cotton surgical procedures.

Nvision has observed patient success with its spinal interbody fusion product lines using 3D-printed medical grade titanium alloy (Ti-6AI-4V) interbody cages. The Trigon titanium wedge utilizes additive manufacturing and 3D-printed medical-grade titanium alloy (Ti-6AI-4V) material featuring an anatomic design with a three–dimensional scaffold imitating cancellous bone which allows for blood and bone integration, along with a graft window for the placement of biologic material if desired.
After initially focusing on spinal implants, Nvision is now applying many of the same advanced technologies to lower extremity surgery. The company launched the Vector® Hammertoe Correction System into the market in March 2019. An industry first, the hammertoe system is the only foot and ankle implant made from the advanced, biocompatible PEEK-OPTIMA™ HA Enhanced, a polymer from Invibio Biomaterial Solutions™.
