NVTC to Host 2018 Capital Cybersecurity Summit

McAfee’s Steve Grobman, Palo Alto Networks’ Mark McLaughlin and Tenable’s Amit Yoran to headline November 13 event

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) announced today it will host its third annual Capital Cybersecurity Summit on November 13, 2018. The event, which will take place at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, will feature distinguished keynote speakers and panels offering exclusive insights on emerging cybersecurity technologies, digital solutions, operations and enforcement from the private sector and government perspectives.

The Summit will include three distinguished keynote speakers:

Steve Grobman, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, McAfee
Mark McLaughlin, Vice Chairman, Palo Alto Networks
Amit Yoran, Chairman and CEO, Tenable

Panel discussions will feature experts from world leading cybersecurity companies, government agencies, private firms and consultants advising government and private sector, and academic leaders, including:

  •     Kenneth Ball, Dean, Volgenau School of Engineering, George Mason University
  •     Devon Bryan, CISO, The Federal Reserve System
  •     Mark Frantz, Co-Founder, BlueDelta Capital Partners
  •     Gary Gagnon, Vice President, Cyber Security and Chief Security Officer, MITRE Corporation (invited)
  •     Rick Howard, CISO, Palo Alto Networks
  •     Amy Howland, CISO, Perspecta

  •     Denise Peppard, Corporate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Northrop Grumman Corporation

The Summit will also include a technology showcase at which cybersecurity companies from the Greater Washington region will display their products and services to potential customers, partners, investors and employees.
