NY Koen Group Invests $500 Million in Trade and Exhibition Center Construction in Kiev, Ukraine
The NY Trade Center Kiev will include a 10,000-space wholesale market, as well as an exhibition center complete with hotels, restaurants, and showcase halls.
KIEV, Ukraine, Mar. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The NY Koen Group, a well-established holding group based in Dubai, recently announced it is investing $500 million into a project to construct a sprawling trade and exhibition center complex in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The project, known as NY Trade Center Kiev, began in January 2019 and is already well underway.
The multipurpose facility is situated on more than 259 acres along the Odessa Highway, just 8 miles away from the Ukrainian capital. The NY Trade Center Kiev is designed to be a full-service facility, which includes a wholesale market with 10,000 selling bays, as well as an exhibition center with hotels, restaurants, and showcase halls.

The inaugural opening of the NY Trade Center Kiev is anticipated for January 2021, when the wholesale market will be complete. The exhibition center is projected to open by 2023. According to Koen, the complex will continue expanding at that time, adding a concert hall as an additional entertainment facility.

"The concert hall, which will be constructed following the opening of the wholesale market and exhibition center, will provide entertainment space for up to 7,000 people."
Koen is in talks with Cyrus Poonawalla, an Indian business magnate who founded and manages the Poonawalla Group, is a co-investor on the project. The Poonawalla Group is well known as the parent company of the Serum Institute of India, a leading international vaccine manufacturer.
