Nymbl debuts new AI-driven tools at AOPA 2026, including payer-aware documentation guidance and two-way texting, aimed at closing the 15-25% denial gap costing O&P practices millions.
DUBLIN, Ohio, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nymbl, a cloud-native practice management platform serving orthotics and prosthetics (O&P), complex rehabilitation technology (CRT), and HME/DMEPOS providers, is showcasing a new set of product innovations this week at the AOPA National Assembly, Booth #543, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, September 8–12. The innovations, unified under the theme "The New Standard for O&P," are organized around three pillars: Compliance, Efficiency, and Connection, and are designed to help growing O&P practices close documentation gaps earlier, move data between systems without manual work, and recover more of the revenue they've already earned.
O&P practices continue to operate with tight margins against a documentation-heavy claims process. According to Nymbl's 2025 O&P Benchmarking Study of 207 practices representing $561M in revenue, the industry sees a first-pass denial rate of 15 to 25%, most of it preventable, with rework costing practices $25 to $40 per denied claim. Across the O&P industry, Nymbl's platform processes more than $1.4B in claims annually, giving the company a direct view into where practices lose time and revenue, and where technology can close the gap.
Innovations on Display at Booth #543:
- Nymbl ComplAI: A new payer-aware documentation guidance tool, running alongside Nymbl today. Practices select a patient's insurance before a live recorded visit or an uploaded note, and get prompted on what to ask or what's missing based on that payer's requirements, before a claim is ever submitted. Beta enrollment opens during AOPA, with general availability, including deeper Nymbl integration, targeted for January 1, 2027.
- Two-Way Texting, powered by SimpleChime: A demo of an integration Nymbl is building and testing, in direct response to customer requests for texting, expanded scheduling, and reminders. The current work covers texting and reminders, with patient demographics and contact information syncing automatically from the chart. It's being previewed at AOPA, with early access open to existing Nymbl customers.
- API & Integration Framework: Nymbl's documented, bi-directional API framework is live today, letting practices connect the tools they already run without waiting on a roadmap. The SimpleChime integration, currently in testing and shown as a demo at the booth, illustrates what the framework is built to support, and Nymbl is inviting practices and vendors at AOPA to nominate the next tools to connect.
- Purchasing & Inventory, previewed at the booth: Nymbl is previewing new Purchasing & Inventory workflows at AOPA to gather direct feedback from practices before the build is finalized, alongside a parallel track of purchasing and inventory integration work already underway with partners.
"The New Standard for O&P isn't one feature, it's a shift in how practices should expect their technology to work: compliant enough to catch problems before they cost revenue, efficient enough that staff spend less time on administrative work and more time with patients, and connected across the tools they already use," said Josh Lau, Founder and CEO of Nymbl. "What we're bringing to AOPA reflects that standard across every part of the practice, from the exam room to the back office."
Nymbl will hold live product demonstrations throughout the show at Booth #543, with dedicated releases on Nymbl ComplAI and Two-Way Texting, powered by SimpleChime, to follow as each moves into production.
