The Tubbs Fire destroyed approximately 5,300 homes in Sonoma County and is considered the deadliest wildfire in California history. Four of Oakmont Senior Living's communities were evacuated in response to the Tubbs Fire.
In partnership with emergency officials, residents and residents' family members, Oakmont Senior Living successfully evacuated over 400 of its senior residents residing at Santa Rosa communities and safely relocated them to suitable temporary accommodations while repairs and restoration took place at Oakmont Senior Living's properties.
Oakmont Senior Living's new website provides a detailed account of the initial and ongoing actions the company took to proactively support its residents and ensure their safety in the days and weeks following the fire. Evacuation narratives, responses to questions posed by the media and positive testimonials from residents and family members are included in the website.
