These obstruction LED lighting solutions are the most innovative products available in the market and offer an even green energy alternative to AC powered LED beacons by 25%. The new DC HORIZON™ can be powered in a number of ways including DC battery or solar panel to create green lighting systems for use in all obstruction applications. They also provide an increased level of safety on the structures they light by being DC powered which virtually eliminates the possibility of electrocution or electric shock while installing or servicing the light.
The new DC HORIZON™ LED strobe system when paired with one of the Hughey & Phillips industry leading controllers create the most responsive lighting system available combining control, monitoring, and diagnostic features not available in the market today. Its compact design, built-in testing, GPS sync, automatic day/night sensor and wiring compatibility make the product easy to use and install. Like other products in the HORIZON™ line, the units are compatible with existing cable systems in most cases, allowing users to retrofit to LED without purchasing entire new systems.
Intertek (ETL) certified and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved the DC HORIZON™ L-864 and L865 provide nighttime red light and daytime white light to light various structures deemed as aeronautical obstructions such as communication, television and radio towers, wind turbines, smokestacks and buildings. The DC powered series is available in L864 (Red), L865 (White) and L864/L865 (Red/White) and are the latest innovative products to be added to the Hughey & Phillips lighting portfolio. The lighting systems are completely designed, sourced and built by Hughey & Phillips using US suppliers. The DC HORIZON™ L-864/865 is best suited for structures between 150’ (45 m) and 700’ (225 m) above ground level and operates at a range of -/+ 48VDC.
