Ocean Computer Group Contracts with the City of Atlantic City for IT Consulting and Support Services
Ocean Computer Group won the contract through a competitive bidding process that included both public- and private-sector service providers. Under the agreement, Ocean Computer Group will be taking over all IT operations under the direction of the City of Atlantic City CIO Patrick Quinlan - including police, fire, and municipal security and communications services for a period up to three years. Under the contract, they will be supporting a large community of approximately 900 users.
MATAWAN, N.J., June 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ocean Computer Group, a New Jersey based managed service provider (MSP), announced today it has been awarded a public contract to provide IT consulting and managed support services to the City of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Ocean Computer Group won the contract through a competitive bidding process that included both public- and private-sector service providers. Under the agreement, Ocean Computer Group will be taking over all IT operations under the direction of the City of Atlantic City CIO Patrick Quinlan – including police, fire, and municipal security and communications services for a period up to three years. Under the contract, they will be supporting a large community of approximately 900 users.
In addition, the MSP will be providing IT management and IT staffing and will be assisting the city with its strategic IT planning and development efforts.

Ocean Computer Group will serve as a liaison between the city and other technology providers, like the telecommunications vendor, and will educate city officials about technology solutions in use at other municipalities to help Atlantic City implement a more modern IT environment.
