SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, bringing much needed attention and support to victims across the country. On average, over 20 million women and men are physically abused by a partner per year in the United States; 99% of these domestic violence cases also include financial abuse, leaving women, men, and children in very dangerous circumstances.
In an effort to support hundreds of shelters, Perfectly Posh and their charitable arm, the You Deserve It Foundation, are partnered with Alison Faulkner of The Alison Show and The Fight Against Domestic Violence (FADV) to raise funds and awareness. Perfectly Posh will donate up to $1,000,000 in retail value of pampering products and raise funds for essential supplies for 200 shelters throughout the US. In addition, Perfectly Posh launched a campaign known as the DiVA Project with goals to raise funds for much-needed essential items like clean sheets, diapers, and more, to donate uplifting pampering products that help provide inspiration, to spread more awareness about the issues victims of domestic violence face, and to share resources and hope with those who need it most.
Perfectly Posh will donate up to 20,000 tote bags to 200 shelters throughout the US full of up to $1,000,000 in retail value of pampering products. Each bag will also include notes from sponsors with uplifting messages of strength, confidence, and love.
