CLEVELAND, April 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- OEConnection LLC (OEC), a leading technology employer in Northeast Ohio, sponsored the 16th annual High School Programming Contest on the campus of Baldwin Wallace University on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Once again, a record number of participating high school teams and students came from across Northeast Ohio, and as far as Columbus, to compete in solving the most computer programming problems in the shortest amount of time. Thirty-three teams from 24 schools participated in this year's competition.
This year's winning team was from University School. Baldwin Wallace students from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) chapter managed the event, including creating the problems and solutions, updating the scoreboard, managing the judging system and awarding the prize to the winning team.
"Every year, we get the privilege of hosting an amazing group of high school students who represent the future of the IT and technology field," Jodi Tims, competition co-organizer and professor of computer science at Baldwin Wallace University, said.
