OITVOIP (an OIT brand), a service-first organization that specializes in telecommunications and distributed networking, announced its support and partnership with a leading Veteran job training organization with its sponsorship of a TrainOurTroops booth at the Channel Partners Evolution Conference & Expo. The conference is held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., September 9-12, and is recognized as one of the largest events in the channel industry. TrainOurTroops (ToT) is a not-for-profit organization that uses an online training model to help Veterans and their spouses transition more quickly into rewarding positions within the civilian workforce, improve skill sets needed to advance in their current careers, and establish and grow Veteran-owned startup business ventures

Ray Orsini, CEO of OIT stated, “The Channel Partners Conference is an enormous opportunity for TrainOurTroops and OITVOIP to be involved with a very significant market sector, as well as to raise awareness about the availability of Veterans who are receiving cutting edge, job-specific training programs designed by TrainOurTroops and its corporate sponsors. We are aligning with ToT because we have the same organizational goal: helping people and businesses become more successful. To date, the vast majority of OITVOIP resellers make a sale in the first 30 days, which is incredible when compared to CSO Insights research showing it can take over a year for Channel Partners to become fully productive. We view ToT as the ideal partner to help offer the same path to success for Veterans and their families. ”

Mr. Orsini identified that far too many Veterans and their families find themselves in low-paying jobs that underutilize their potential. OITVOIP is seeing that Vets find themselves unemployed for extended periods with out-of-date skill sets. The latest report from the USBLS notes unemployment rates among Vets are now edging down, in part due to organizations like Train OurTroops and the commitments from their partners.

Asked about the program and alignment with OITVOIP, Glen Brynteson, ToT Founder, explained that “We are incredibly grateful that OITVOIP has agreed to help with our efforts in supporting the Veterans. Veterans and dependents can select from any number of online courses or follow paths we have created so they can become certified for a specific career. At the same time, this builds a pipeline of highly-qualified individuals that corporate supporters can rely upon to fill positions. Technology firms like OITVOIP are exactly the types of companies that help provide education, networking, and skills to the Veteran community. ”
