Olin Brass Celebrating 100th Anniversary
East Alton, IL (PRWEB) June 21, 2016 -- In 1916, 100 years ago, the first bars of copper alloy were cast at the Olin Brass mill in East Alton, Illinois, and one of the great stories in the American metals industry began.
The Olin Brass story will be told in greater detail in the coming weeks as the company draws attention to its many accomplishments over the past century.
The story will unfold over several months, with each chapter available on a wide range of media, including the company’s website, http://www.OlinBrass.com, as well as through email, social media, and online news articles. It will culminate with a special event at the Olin Brass East Alton facility during the Fall that will include local officials, community members, and, of course, Olin Brass employees past and present.
“Throughout our history, Olin Brass has made incalculable contributions to the community we share, the industries we serve, and to people and companies all over the world,” said Bill Toler, Olin Brass President. “Reaching our 100th anniversary is an achievement of which we are all very proud. Sharing that pride is what this is all about.”
