OmniCyber Security Strengthens Position With Acquisition Of NMG Cybersecurity Consulting
OmniCyber Security is delighted to announce the acquisition of NMG Cybersecurity Consulting, a deal which sees Nish Gopal join Omni as director of GRC
BIRMINGHAM, England, Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A dynamic cyber security company in Birmingham has strengthened its position with the acquisition of a prominent consultancy firm.
OmniCyber Security has joined forces with NMG Cybersecurity Consulting with its director and founder Nish Gopal joining Omni as director of GRC.
Mr Gopal, who has previously worked for the Ministry of Defence, Hewlett-Packard and BAE systems, said he was "delighted" at the prospect of NMG consulting joining forces with Omni and continuing to build the firm into a market leading boutique cyber security company, already with national and international reach.
"I was highly impressed by the shear calibre of the team and wealth of experience already at Omni, headed up by director Bobbie Bhogal. The breadth of offering we can provide to customers spans the whole cyber security spectrum, whether it be cyber essentials for a small SME, to monitoring an international banks whole IT infrastructure through our security operation centre.
"Our objective is to make Omni in to a market leading boutique cyber security consultancy and our vision is to be as agile and flexible as possible. By being this way, Omni will be able to tailor our service offerings to meet client's actual requirements instead of trying to shoehorn standard templated solutions into different clients.
"Omni has taken some big steps in driving the strategy forward by acquiring NMG and partnering with Dark Trace and Sophos – both market leaders in their respective fields."
The director of OmniCyber Security, Bobbie Bhogal, said he could not wait to be working alongside Mr Gopal and utilising his extensive security knowledge.
He said: "We are very excited at OmniCyber Security to have acquired NMG Consulting, headed up by Nish Gopal. Nish brings with him a wealth of hands on experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) strengthening OmbiCyber's capability to consult in subjects such as ISO27001, GDPR, supplier assurance and PCI. Nish will work closely with Jason McWhirr, our QSA, to provide a first class information security services to our clients."
Mr Gopal, who studied computer science and e-business at Loughborough University, began his career as a project manager and software developer at the Ministry of Defence before becoming an information security consultant at BAE Systems in London. He has also been a senior governance, risk and compliance specialist at Hewlett-Packard, Global Cyber Security and NCC Group before forming his own security consultancy firm NMG.
OmniCyber Security, which aims to help companies work through the complex nature of IT security and compliance, was recently chosen to represent the UK at a keynote security conference in Singapore.
