New leadership aligns with the nonprofit's recommitment to its core mission of preventing relationship violence and abuse.
BALTIMORE, June 29, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The One Love Foundation in Honor of Yeardley Love, better known as One Love, a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending relationship abuse, today announced that Julie Myers has been named chief executive officer and Ojeda Hall has been promoted to president.
Myers will join the organization in September and Hall, currently serving as executive director of the One Love Foundation's Mid-Atlantic Region, begins her new role effective immediately. Myers comes to One Love after 30 years of service at the University of Virginia (UVA), where she directed the UVA women's lacrosse program for the past 28 years. During her tenure at UVA, she mentored over 1,300 collegiate athletes and influenced thousands more, including Yeardley Love, who Myers coached.

As head coach at UVA, Myers was responsible for overseeing the coaching staff as well as the recruitment and retention of the staff and players. Her duties included budget management and fiscal oversight and meeting UVA, ACC and NCAA athletic compliance guidelines. Additionally, Myers was engaged in the day-to-day activities of the student body and cultivated relationships with donors in support of team-based initiatives.
Myers' accolades are numerous and include election to the Virginia Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2015. She is the first coach to win a National Championship as a player, assistant and head coach. Myers' streak of 27 straight postseason tournaments ranks in the top five of all coaches in all Division 1 sports, and within that span had at least one player named to an All-American team every year. Last year, Myers was the recipient of the Diane Geppi-Aikens Memorial Award for lifetime achievements to the women's college game.
She was also owner/operator of Cavalier Lacrosse, Inc. and is a coach mentor with the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Myers earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Virginia.

Hall has been with One Love since 2019 leading One Love's Mid-Atlantic division and responsible for the expansion of One Love's partnerships and programming in the region. She brings over 15 years of experience as a community organizer in the civic sector and has helped build diversity, equity and inclusion models for staff and leadership. Prior to joining One Love, Hall climbed the corporate ladder in New York and London at Salomon Brothers and JP Morgan Chase. Hall's extensive experience with non-profit organizations includes her role as the Senior Director of collective action for Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE), Lead Organizer of Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (BUILD), and Executive Director of the office for family and community engagement for the New York City Department of Education. Hall earned her bachelor's degree from Harvard University and her master's from Drew Theological School.

Earlier this month, One Love announced its headquarters will transition from New York to Baltimore, where the organization was founded in 2010. Partnering with Myers and Hall in the transition will be Jon Higgins, a Baltimore-based strategic advisor to the Love family.
