Costa Rican based company buys into the USA market with Acquisition of The Quit Company Assets from founder Matt Bucklin
MIAMI, July 29, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- One Puff, Inc. is announcing the acquisition of The Quit Company, LLC digital properties and other assets. One Puff recently launched a proven smoking cessation therapy program in the United States. The Quit Company had a large presence with smokers globally and this acquisition will allow One Puff to immediately expand its reach with consumers.
The Quit Company digital properties and assets were acquired from former Founder & CEO Matt Bucklin, for an undisclosed sum and terms. These digital assets were retained by Bucklin from the sale of the The Quit Company to B&B Systems in 2019, finalized in 2020, which included all proprietary products including global best selling product Quit Tea, all supplies, equipment, inventory, and intellectual property related to the products.
One Puff founder Sidney Pratt and Matt Bucklin have had a long-standing relationship in the global smoking cessation community including collaborating on products, international distribution, academic work, and work in the non-profit side of tobacco cessation. "When I learned of Sidney's program in Costa Rica almost a decade ago, I envisioned a packaged product to help expand the reach of this amazing aversion therapy and help more smokers finally quit smoking for good," said Bucklin. The acquisition is on track to be finalized by the end of July 2022, with involvement from Bucklin to ensure a smooth transition of ownership.
