One man born in the Great Depression reflects on his life in new memoir
V.W. Thomack announces publication of 'Bless Your Heart'
SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis., May 24, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- V.W. Thomack recalls events throughout his life, including falling in love, getting married, and the tragic loss of his wife to Alzheimer's disease in his new memoir "Bless Your Heart" (published by Archway Publishing).
Born in the midst of the Great Depression in Neenah, Wisconsin, Thomack lived an adventurous life. He recounts boyhood memories such as his dad making magical elixirs each spring and his mother repairing his shirt collars. "Bless Your Heart" also shares moments from various events throughout his life, including meeting, marrying, and losing his wife to Alzheimer's disease — as well as the sudden loss of great friends. Along the way, he incorporates history, humor, trivia, and, shocking punch lines. It's all part of celebrating his home runs and lamenting the times he could not get his bat off his shoulder to deliver hits.
"As you journey through life, you never know what's around the corner and life will be full of surprises, some more pleasant than others," V.W. Thomack says.
