ONEIL appoints Joe Stevens as new chief financial officer
ONEIL, an employee-owned company that develops technical publications, training and related product support materials, today announced Joe Stevens, CPA, MAcc as its new chief financial officer.
MIAMISBURG, Ohio, Sept. 23, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- O'Neil & Associates (ONEIL), an employee-owned company that develops technical publications, training and related product support materials, today announced Joe Stevens, CPA, MAcc as its new chief financial officer.
In this role, Stevens will oversee all ONEIL ESOP benefits and lead the company's financial processes and internal controls. He is also charged with strategic planning, measuring performance, risk management and leadership of the entire accounting department including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and controller. Stevens joins a nine-member executive team of highly experienced leaders laser-focused on the company's vision to make equipment safer to use, faster to repair and easier to maintain.

Prior to joining the ONEIL team, Stevens spent nearly five years with Cleveland-based environmental firm Neundorfer serving as the company's controller. As a member of the organization's executive team, Stevens held responsibility for financial reporting and analysis, banking relationships, managing internal controls, handling agency relationships and strategic planning. Prior to that, Stevens spent 10 years with Dayton-based CPA firm Brady Ware & Company leading and managing audit processes of numerous privately-held businesses and their retirement plans, training experienced team members and shaping significant business practices.

Stevens earned his Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in accountancy from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he held positions with the Dean's Student Advisory Board and Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society. He earned his Masters of Accountancy in 2005 and his CPA license in 2007.
Stevens is an active member of his community, volunteering for organizations such as Clothe-A-Child and the American Red Cross. He was also involved with Generation Dayton and has mentored Wright State University students in the Accounting Leadership Program.
