Online Art Gallery Artists Participate in Tour de Forest & Blythe Festival
(PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- For 2013, the Tour de Forest, Haliburton, Highlands, Ontario, features 20 artists, displaying their work at 7 studios on August 3rd and 4th. Eleven of these artists also participate in the online art gallery, MadeInHaliburton.ca. There is a dazzling array of finely crafted pottery, glass, jewellery, painting, woodworking, fibre arts, photography, and more. Enjoy the benefits of a compact tour and a chance to take in Haliburton's gorgeous summer scenery.
That is right -- make only 7 stops and view the work of 20 artists and artisans. Enjoy the pristine beauty of the Haliburton Highlands as you wind through the countryside from studio to studio. You never know what you will see around each bend in the road.
Enjoy the hospitality and services of Tour de Forest's Haliburton Highlands Partners and receive a Tour De Forest Appreciation Card. This card entitles you to a 10% discount on any purchase you make at a Studio on the Civic Long Weekend. See their locations below, and click on the ads for more information.
On the same website as the list of partners for this tour you will find an interactive map to help you find your way to the various studio locations and a link to download the brochure.
Susan Hay will also be exhibiting her work at the Blyth Festival Art Gallery, the Bainton Gallery, beginning August 16th and ending at the close of the festival September 7th. This presents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a performing arts event and visit a visual arts display at the same time.
Susan’s greatest strength in painting is being able to evoke light in her landscapes. Susan’s landscapes are painted on texturized canvases and are based on photos she has taken from the bow of her canoe as she and her husband enjoy the scenic beauty of Haliburton and Georgian Bay or while riding her bicycle or walking along the rural roads of Huron County.
If you are unable to join these artists for either event, please consider viewing their work on MadeInHaliburton.ca.
