OnRelay Releases Queue Groups for Company Cell Phones
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) August 30, 2017 -- Businesses of any size struggle to effectively distribute customer calls across a mobile workforce. With OnRelay's new Queue Group concept, company mainline calls are shared among group members using a selection of call distribution algorithms while callers hear custom music on hold. Staff can flexibly join and leave groups from their smartphones. Active members are reached using normal cell minutes and can see on their standard smartphone call screen which group is being called. Calls can thereafter be transferred onwards to cellular extensions of other colleagues. Shared call logs indicate which group member answered the queue call on their smartphone.
With version 7, OnRelay also introduces a new web admin control panel that allows its customers to build advanced multi-level auto-attendants. Customer administrators can build a custom call tree and design exactly how they want company calls to be distributed among mobile staff. Corresponding voice menus can be manually recorded, automatically generated or just typed out using a text-to-speech engine in the selected language.
Each sub auto-attendant may also have a direct public number, allowing mid-size businesses to create distributed call management systems with local company mainline numbers across multiple states and countries.
“We remain unique in our ability to offer a complete business phone service for normal cell connections over any cellular network”, says Ivar Plahte, OnRelay's CEO. He continues: “OnRelay continues to go deeper with the advanced features we offer, larger with the size of customers we effectively scale to, and broader with the countries we support.”
Another important ‘under the hood' change in version 7 is the addition of Apple Push Notifications and Google Firebase Messaging as transports for OnRelay’s patented telephony internetworking protocol (TINP). With these, OnRelay’s mobile app does not need a permanent Internet connection or to run a background service to maintain a permanent reliable connection with OnRelay's cloud infrastructure. These transport options are therefore highly power efficient and adds another layer of reliability for the advanced signaling on which OnRelay’s service relies.
Version 7 has already been rolled out across OnRelay’s growing customer base in the Americas, Europe, South Africa and Asia Pacific.
