Opal Apples, the only naturally non-browning, non-GMO apples grown in the U.S., today announced the launch of its Crave the Crunch campaign to officially kick off Opal season. The nationwide campaign, which rolls out this month, will seek to highlight Opal’s distinctively crisp and ‘crunchy’ texture which fans of Opal have come to know and love.

As part of the new Crave the Crunch campaign, Opal Apples will continue its partnership with Registered Dietitian Cynthia Sass, to raise brand awareness through recipes, eating tips, social media messaging and as the company’s official spokesperson. Under the partnership Sass created the Healthy to the Core Cookbook, which feature Opals in delicious fall-inspired sweet and savory recipes, just in time for the holiday season.

“Crave the Crunch highlights the distinct crunch that kids, families and apple lovers nationwide love most about Opals,” said Joe Vargas, Marketing Director of FirstFruits Marketing. “In a time where consumers are increasingly craving easy, healthy snacks, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Cynthia Sass to educate our consumers on the health benefits of Opals.”

The Crave the Crunch campaign will feature new branded packaging, social media messaging, a public relations campaign, newsletters and in-store marketing.

Opals are beautifully bright yellow with a distinctively crunchy texture, floral aroma and a sweet and tangy flavor. Whether it’s pre-cut slices for breakfast, an afternoon pick-me-up or incorporated into a variety of recipes, Opals are the perfect on-the-go snack.
