GNC and its customers show their support for veterans and military families through national in-store campaign

General Nutrition Corporation (GNC), a leading global specialty, health, wellness, and performance brand announced its support of national nonprofit Operation Homefront. GNC will host the Live Well and Serve America’s Military Families national in-store campaign, at all of its corporate and franchise stores, from May 2, 2019 through June 12, 2019. Customers will be asked to donate to Operation Homefront in increments of $1, $5, or $10 at checkout in support of the nonprofit’s mission to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.

This is the second year GNC is partnering with Operation Homefront. Last year, GNC and its customers raised $300,000 to support military families through Operation Homefront.

Last year our customers showed their generosity and support for this program, and we are excited to make a difference together again this year.”

The GNC Live Well and Serve America’s Military Families campaign will help Operation Homefront provide its programs for relief and recurring family support, which among other things, provides school supplies for families. Funds raised throughout the program will also go toward the nonprofit’s Critical Financial Assistance program to prevent short-term challenges from turning into chronic, long-term struggles. 92 percent of Operation Homefront’s expenditures go toward delivering these programs and services. Over the last eight years, Operation Homefront has fulfilled more than 40,000 requests from military families, providing over $25 million in assistance. Financial assistance has included disaster recovery, food and living expenses, rent and mortgage payments, as well as other critical needs.
