SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit serving America's military families® since 2002, announced today that Cindy Campbell has joined the organization as its chief financial & administrative officer. Campbell will be based in the national headquarters office located in San Antonio, Texas.
"Cindy is an incredibly talented professional who shares our collective passion to give our military families the opportunity to thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect," said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. "She is a tremendous addition to a very talented team."
Campbell worked many years as an auditor in local public accounting firms, being a key person to filing a company's initial public offering and as a Senior Vice President with SWBC, a large financial services company, where she was responsible for all internal and external financial reporting. The nonprofit world is familiar territory for Campbell as she worked seven years at SAMMinistries where she served in several roles, the last being Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, she was the Chief Financial Officer for the Jewish Federation of San Antonio. Campbell has a Bachelor of Business Administration from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
"Life is complicated and costly. For the military family, these complications and costs can be significant and overwhelming," Campbell said. "I am privileged to be a part of a team that can give assistance and even hope to those serving our great nation."
The military life has been a part of Campbell's entire life. Her father, siblings, children, and grandchildren have or are serving. Her husband, Chief Master Sgt. Douglas Campbell (ret.), a Vietnam veteran, served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. The two have a blended family of 7 children and 9 grandchildren.
