Chambers of Commerce, local municipalities and others charged with economic development across the country are working with OperationMainStreet.com.
HUNTINGTON, N.Y., April 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Launched in early April, OperationMainStreet.com™ is a national gift card directory of over 50,000 small businesses. Born in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the goal of the project is to drive local patrons to buy gift cards from merchants in their community to help save these businesses and the jobs they create.
The Operation Main Street site has added a webpage for every state, county, town and ZIP code in the USA. Any individual or organization looking to drive economic development for a specific region can browse the directory by state, county, town or ZIP and use the resulting link to promote their local businesses. If a local Chamber of Commerce or other organization wants to promote multiple ZIP codes, they can use the Claim Your Town feature. They can enter multiple ZIP codes to cover a specific geographic area and OperationMainStreet will automatically create a custom page and send the link.
There is no cost for a business to participate in the Operation Main Street directory. If a company sells their gift cards online and wants to list their website in the directory they can simply fill out the form on the site.
The project is made possible by gift card technology and services provided by eGifter, a small company located on an actual Main Street in New York. The Queens Chamber of Commerce in New York created their custom gift card directory page using just the ZIP codes of the towns in their chamber.
