(OII), a leading distributor of quality ophthalmic instruments, today announced their support of the 14th annual Major Rob Soltes Memorial Golf Tournament benefitting the Blinded Veterans Association. OII is, again, a gold sponsor of the golf tournament will be held on Columbus Day, Monday, October 8th at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, Calif.
According to the Soltes Memorial website, there are 5,000 men and women that have been affected by severe penetrating eye injuries, nearly 50,000 have enrolled in the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System with Traumatic Brain Injury visual system impairment and countless numbers whom have not yet identified a current visual impairment. The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) is an organization of blinded veterans helping blinded veterans.
