Grand Rapids Ophthalmology (GRO) is pleased to announce the addition of Ronald Hessler, MD to its growing team of eye care professionals. He is the most recent to join GRO’s continued commitment and Purpose to Lead the Way, Improve Sight, and Change Lives.
Dr. Hessler is a board-certified ophthalmologist performing medical, diabetic, and routine eye exams, as well as small incision cataract surgery utilizing both lifestyle and traditional lenses. Dr. Hessler earned a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan and received his medical doctorate from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University of Medicine and transitional residency at Oakwood Hospital. Prior to joining Grand Rapids Ophthalmology, Dr. Hessler worked at Mayo Health Clinic System-Red Cedar as a clinical ophthalmologist and chief of surgery.
