As part of her role, Dr. Lane will lead and guide the company's key initiatives related to Optimity Health Grade(™) & various health scores, health journey content and data strategy. In addition, she will be able to expand Optimity's reach further globally with clients, partners, and researchers in North America, Asia and Europe (i.e the insurance, digital health, and medical communities).
Dr. Lane is a Professor and Chair of Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University and a founding member of the Stanford Wearable Health Lab. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Lane is also a seasoned tech entrepreneur -- she is the co-founder and former CEO of Vivametrica, an insurtech company that utilized data from wearable devices to predict mortality and disease risks for underwriting, and engage individuals in wellness. In addition to her new role with Optimity, Dr. Lane is also an Advisory Partner with IA Capital Group, and a Visiting Professor at the Stanford Medical School.
