OR Manager and the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) are partnering to offer a CSSM® Exam Prep Pre-Conference Workshop at the 2019 OR Business Management Conference , taking place January 27 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in San Diego, California.
The Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) certification recognizes the important and distinct role surgical services managers have in directing staff, programs and budgets, while delivering safe patient care. CSSM certification validates the achievement of the baccalaureate-prepared manager who demonstrates proficiency as a leader in the perioperative setting.
The 2019 OR Business Management Conference, in its seventh year, is the premier educational opportunity for operating room business managers, directors, and perioperative services professionals to learn about the latest best practices on business operations and managements from leading industry experts from across the nation.
“OR Manager is excited to be able to offer the CSSM® Exam Prep Pre-conference Workshop along with the 2019 OR Business Management Conference. The partnership between CCI and OR Manager will allow attendees to benefit from expert guidance on CSSM® test question format and practice questions, focused on two exam subject areas – financial and operational management,” says Kristy Keller, Brand Director, OR Manager. “This is a wonderful value- add for the OR Business Management Conference.”
In addition, attendees will be eligible for 6 contact hours of continuing nursing education upon successful completion of the workshop, including completion of a pre-reading assignment and a post-course evaluation. Learning objectives include:
- Identify the elements of a multiple-choice, one-correct-answer exam questions
- Identify the basic steps involved with developing various perioperative budgets

- Identify guiding principles in effective inventory management
