Oregon Organic Coalition Names LivBar "Processor of the Year"
In recognition of Oregon's thriving organic industry and 'Organically Grown in Oregon Week', the Oregon Organic Coalition presented Liv Foods, Inc. with an Award of Excellence, highlighting the positive impact of the company's leadership in the state's organic trade.
EUGENE, Ore., Oct. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- LivBar was named "Processor of the Year" by the Oregon Organic Coalition in the 2019 Organic Awards for Excellence. To be considered for this prestigious award, nominees are required to qualify in a variety of categories, including innovation in organic practices; service to the industry; expansion of organic business opportunities; and overall achievement in the state's organic trade.
The recipients of the 2019 Oregon Organic Coalition (OOC) Awards for Excellence were presented awards by OOC leadership during a statewide tour of recipient individuals and organizations. Susan Schechter, OOC Board Treasurer, presented LivBar's award in Salem to CEO Wade Brooks and Director of Marketing and Operations Jessi Freitag.

LivBar also does not use a co-packer and instead hand-bakes every bar in Oregon, creating and keeping organic product manufacturing jobs in the state.
This latest award for LivBar comes directly on the heels of the company's nomination as one of the top gluten free snack bars by the Gluten Free Awards and their win as "Entrepreneur of the Year" from SEDCOR. Earlier in the year, LivBar was awarded "Most Mindful Consumer Packaged Good" by the Mindful Awards.
