Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Selects Access Passport Web-Based Forms Platform
SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas (PRWEB) August 30, 2018 -- Access, a leading provider of patient electronic signatures and eForms solutions for hospitals, today announced that OHSU has chosen its Passport web-based forms solution for surgical consents and safe opioid agreements. As OHSU evaluated their forms-based workflows, they realized that there was an opportunity to improve how consents were obtained and processed and after evaluating several vendors, selected Access.
Access Passport is a web-based electronic forms solution that enables clinical users to launch eForms directly from their EMR system without knowing they’re using an additional application. They’re then able to display the forms on iPads, tablets, and a wide range of other devices, making it easy for patients and clinicians alike to fill in Informed Consents and a wide range of other required documentation and apply secure electronic signatures. Upon completion, the eForms are automatically routed into the correct patient’s chart, making them immediately available to authorized users across the hospital.
“Our big requirements were the need to seamlessly integrate with our existing EMR system and then send completed eForms into our OnBase content management system,” said Bud Garrison, Director of Clinical Informatics at OHSU. “We also wanted a well-rounded system that would enable us to have a single, standardized consent form and then template in procedure names, risks, and other considerations for the 170 forms that potentially require patient or clinician signatures. Access Passport was the best fit.”
