On Wednesday, September 18, Build n Blaze TV will launch at the UN General Assembly with Build n Blaze's 17@17, an online action campaign to support the UN and its Member States, in their efforts to make this a defining year for the achievement of the SDGs; by calling on xHumans to act now.
NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Wednesday, September 18, on the occasion of the opening of the United Nations General Assembly, Build n Blaze, LLC will launch Build n Blaze TV through its online action campaign, "17@17, The 17 Days of SDGs," to support the United Nations and its Member States, in their efforts to make this a defining year for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"Although the SDGs have been adopted by 193 countries, in practice, the behaviors of these countries, their citizens and institutions are not necessarily in accordance with the letter or spirit of the goals. Will a world powered, driven, controlled, dominated by the xHuman manifest any differently?" - Araba Sey, United Nations University
This one-year commitment, which will primarily live online to maximize global engagement will call to action the most powerful humans that have ever lived, the xHumans, as defined by our founder, Radia Funna in her Theory of the Exponential Human or xHuman. (Funna, The Theory of the Exponential Human: Can 4ir Usher in a Gender-Neutral Economy?)
Build n Blaze TV will launch as a pop-up streaming studio, featuring real-time social media engagement and streaming live from the UN headquarters in New York City. We will also simulcast with a studio audience in Mexico. Our first show, "The xHuman @ the UN General Assembly" will be hosted by Funna, live at the UN.
Funna will be joined (on the UN set) by a few special guests, including Ambassador Andrés Roemer, Good Will Ambassador for the Free Flow of Knowledge, UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization); Ambassador Teuta Sahatqija, Head of Mission of the Republic of Kosovo in New York; as well as other guests, including Rossana Fuentes-Berain, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mexico Media Lab; who will be joining from Mexico City, Mexico.
The change in context that has made this conversation possible, is the release of Funna's highly anticipated briefing paper, Rise of the Exponential Human: The Journey to Coming Online; an origin story of her xHuman theory.
A recognized theorist and futurist, Funna has been researching and defining strategy for the challenges and opportunities organizations face in the fourth industrial revolution for just under a decade. Her work has often focused on the disruptive impact and exponential nature of technological innovation.
In 2017, that research led her to develop the Theory of the Exponential Human or the xHuman. At the heart of this theory, is our human co-evolution with machines. Funna theorizes that a series of important moments "…have stacked on top of one another over space and time to convert our singularly physical existence to an existence of duality—in both physical and digital forms—leading to the rise of the humans whose relationship with machines is so transformational that I have coined them the Exponential Humans or xHuman." (Funna, The Theory of the Exponential Human: Can 4ir Usher in a Gender-Neutral Economy?)
Funna often credits her time tackling innovation at the UN, with transforming her approach to the world's greatest challenges. Entering the UN system within a year of the adoption of the SDGs, she believes its action framework could better organize efforts to carve a path to solving the world's greatest challenges including climate change and a global refugee crisis.
It, therefore, struck a chord at Build n Blaze, when, on "16 January 2019: UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged Member States to do their best to make September 2019 a defining moment for stopping runaway climate change, achieving the SDGs and building a fair globalization." (IISD, UN Secretary-General Outlines UN Priorities for 2019)
What if this defining moment Guterres wants Member States to achieve, could be achieved by partnering with the xHumans, who Funna has theorized are the most powerful humans in the history of humanity.

If you are in New York City, we will be happy to welcome you to the studio. We will also be streaming live from the UN. We invite everyone to join the conversation at https://livestream.com/buildnblaze/xhuman with #BnBx. See you soon.
