O.riginals: Design and Stationery Launches Website And Makes Going Back-To-School Their Business

O.riginals: Design & Stationery, a boutique gift and stationery studio specializing in custom/personalized items for school-aged children, plans to make this back-to-school season o.riginal with the launch of their new website. By choosing hair color, hairstyle, skin tone and school uniform or other attire, the user can create an o.riginal character to give his/her school gear an identity.
What began as a custom illustration being showcased on a handful of products at a charity event back in October of 2009, has now been transformed into a brand featuring hundreds of products showcased by Miami’s most elite grade-schoolers.
“I wanted to create something that would promote school spirit, yet be accessible to all school-aged children and parents, alike,” said Creative Director Olga Martinez.
Partnered with her mother/O.riginals CEO, Maria Martinez, this duo means business. Shortly after copyrighting and trade marking the illustrations, plans went into play for the creation of the website.
“It was important the website be user friendly for the parents and fun for the children,” added Olga. “We’ve created a simple and easy-to-follow design and checkout process for an entertaining and o.riginal shopping experience.”
Olga, a former teacher and high school administrator, has a strong pulse on the market and the needs of today’s parents and students. O.riginals products are a favorite among South Florida area schools, but the mother/daughter duo hope to expand their reach by the end of the year - through the launch of the new site. Custom/personalized back to school sets have been gifted to celebrity tots, such as Suri Cruise and Violet Affleck, and, this September, O.riginals will participate in the Pre-Emmy Gift Lounge for Celebrity Moms and Dads, in Beverly Hills, California – an event to which they were exclusively invited.
O.riginals: Design & Stationery currently has over 100 school uniform illustrations in their Lookbook, and nearly 200 products – all of which are available for purchase on the new site. The site also allows shoppers to request new custom illustrations.
