ORIGO Education and CueThink today announced a strategic partnership specifically designed to “make math social” by engaging Grade 1-6 students in meaningful discourse as they apply their knowledge and skills to solve rigorous and real-world problems.
ORIGO Education, an innovative provider of Pre-K to 6 math solutions, formalized a strategic sales and marketing agreement with CueThink, a technology solution that empowers teachers to build students’ critical thinking skills through problem-solving.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with ORIGO Education,” said Founder and CEO of CueThink Sheela Sethuraman. “This collaboration will enable CueThink to be seamlessly integrated with ORIGO Education’s core ‘Stepping Stones’ curriculum. Both companies are aligned in our commitment to making math accessible and engaging to all students.”
Operating within ORIGO Education’s award-winning ‘”Stepping Stones” curriculum, CueThink’s technology will assist in engaging students with more than 400 word problems from The Math Forum, creating an extensive problem bank for “Stepping Stones” users that can be filtered by standard. Along with providing rich tasks, CueThink structures complex work, makes thinking visible and enables peer collaboration and communication for all students.
James Burnett, CEO and Founder of ORIGO Education asserted, “CueThink offers the missing piece of the puzzle. It gives students the opportunity to solve quality word problems using visual representations as they are engaged in discourse that involves reasoning and justification.”
“Students need opportunities to apply their concepts and skills, and we see CueThink as an innovative tool that enables students to think and reason through problems in a manner that is consistent with our beliefs about how students learn mathematics.”
